Richey is a Professor Emeritus at Administrative and Organizational Studies in the College of Education, Wayne State University, Michigan, USA. She received her M.A from the University of Michigan (1968) and her Ph.D. from Wayne State University (1971), USA. She is a member of the Association for Educational Communications and Technology.
