He is doctorate in Biochemistry. His research expertise includes clinical biochemistry, food biochemistry, molecular cell biology, and Gerontology. He has done significant work on investigation of molecular mechanisms of action of plant-derived polyphenols, a major constituent in food and vital in nutrition point of view.
