Description

Experience the second solo record from Mike Polizze, the musician behind Philadelphia psych-squallers Purling Hiss and Birds of Maya. Around Sound is a rainier and more pensive collection than his previous work, offering a deeper look into his fingerstyle acoustic guitar skills. While the album features plenty of hooks and playful humor, it maintains a sense of languid beauty through its bucolic odes. This vinyl release brings to life the musicality that inspired the classic Hiss anthem "Run from the City." Moving beyond the pandemic-era sound of Long Lost, this new album establishes Polizze as a master craftsman of memorable, atmospheric folk rock. Perfect for fans of melodic acoustic arrangements and thoughtful songwriting.
