Description

The World Multiple is an ambitious ethnographic experiment that examines how reality is experienced and created through everyday practices. Part of the Routledge Advances in Sociology series, this work challenges the idea that the world is a single, universal reality known only through modern expert science. Instead, this book argues that worlds are "worlded" through social and material processes. It explores how different forms of reality are crafted by humans in connection with landscapes, animals, plants, fungi, rocks, and other beings. By looking at these daily interactions, the text provides a deep look at how multiple ways of knowing exist simultaneously. This book is a significant resource for students and researchers in anthropology and sociology. It offers a new perspective on how human and non-human entities work together to generate the world around us. It is an essential read for anyone interested in the politics of knowledge and the study of entangled worlds.
