Description

The Leica Vario-Elmarit-SL 24-70mm f/2.8 ASPH. lens delivers professional-grade versatility for full-frame L-Mount cameras. With an f/2.8 constant aperture throughout its zoom range and three aspherical elements, this lens produces sharp, distortion-free images across all focal lengths. The internal focus mechanism ensures smooth autofocus performance without changing lens length, while the non-rotating filter ring simplifies filter use for video and photography. Built with a robust metal body and weather sealing, the 11189 model withstands demanding shooting environments. The aperture range extends from f/2.8 to f/22, providing creative depth-of-field control and stopping down for increased sharpness. Ideal for photographers and videographers seeking a premium standard zoom with consistent optical performance and build quality.

Key Features

The Vario-Elmarit-SL 24-70mm features three aspherical elements that reduce distortion and spherical aberration across the entire 24-70mm focal range.

Constant f/2.8 aperture throughout the zoom range allows consistent exposure and creative shallow depth-of-field work without stopping down.

Internal focus mechanism means the lens barrel does not extend during focusing, maintaining compact handling and enabling smooth video performance.

Non-rotating filter ring remains stationary during focus, preventing polariser or ND filters from rotating and losing their intended effect.

Metal body construction combined with weather sealing protects the 11189 lens in challenging conditions and provides durable professional handling.

L-Mount compatibility integrates seamlessly with Leica, Panasonic, and Sigma full-frame mirrorless camera systems.

Aperture range from f/2.8 to f/22 delivers flexible exposure control and increased depth-of-field when stopping down for landscape work.
