Description

ALT 36 offers provocative reinterpretations of African literature and film through a queer theoretical lens, positioning formerly marginalised sexualities and contemporary sexual expression at the centre of critical discourse. This volume engages with debates shaping the African continent's future, examining how gender identities feature in literary visions as African writers increasingly explore the complexities of their societies and celebrate gender diversity across short stories, novels, poetry, plays and films.
