About the Author Manuel Diaz is a professor in the Department of Ethnic and Women's Studies at Cal Poly Pomona.Sergio A. Gonzalez is a Ph.D. candidate in the School of Educational Studies at Claremont Graduate University. He received his M.A. in applied gender studies from Claremont Graduate University and his M.Ed. in postsecondary administration and student affairs from the University of Southern California. As a scholar/activist, he focuses on co-creating counternarratives of queer Latinx/a/o individuals within higher education.
