This traditional bench plane is engineered for strength and precision, making it a reliable choice for both carpentry and fine woodworking. Built with a robust grey cast iron body, this tool provides the stability needed for effective stock removal, edge truing, and leveling wide boards. Whether you are working with hard or soft woods, the precision-machined base and sides ensure the flatness and squareness required to straighten edges and prepare timber surfaces for finishing. The design focuses on control, allowing you to manage longer material lengths with ease. This hand plane is a fundamental tool for any workshop, offering the durability of cast iron combined with the accuracy required for high-quality surface preparation.

Key Features

Durable Grey Cast Iron Body - Crafted for strength and stability, the precision-machined body provides the weight needed for controlled planing on various wood types.

Precision Machined Base - The finely ground base and sides ensure flatness and squareness, which is necessary for accurate edge truing and board leveling.

Smooth Cutting Performance - Machined seatings eliminate blade judder, providing a steady and controlled experience during stock removal on hard or soft woods.

Secure Blade Assembly - A brass locking screw keeps the blade assembly secure during use while allowing for easy removal when you need to sharpen.

Versatile Woodworking Tool - Ideal for preparing timber surfaces, this plane works effectively for leveling wide boards and straightening edges before finishing.

Note on Blade Preparation - To ensure optimal performance and a smooth finish, the included blade will require honing before its first use.
