Curriculum Description Kinder-Ready Curriculum: 52 Weeks to Kindergarten Success The Kinder-Ready Curriculum is a comprehensive, 52-week educational framework specifically designed for children ages 2 through 5. Created by experienced childcare professional Tangie Cokes, this curriculum combines structured learning with play-based exploration, ensuring young learners are prepared for success in kindergarten and beyond. Aligned with the Wisconsin Model Early Learning Standards (WMELS), Kinder-Ready promotes developmental milestones across key areas, including language & literacy, math, social-emotional growth, and fine & gross motor skills. It’s designed to create a balanced and supportive learning environment that fosters confidence, curiosity, and a love of learning. What sets Kinder-Ready apart: Sign Language Integration: This curriculum includes American Sign Language (ASL) as part of the daily lessons to enhance communication, literacy, and inclusivity. Children will learn simple signs for everyday words, fostering early language development and supporting children with different learning needs. Weekly Themes & Objectives: Each week offers a unique theme with a detailed lesson plan that covers key learning areas. Themes range from emotions and self-awareness to community helpers, animals, seasons, and more. Holistic Child Development: While the curriculum is academically sound, it also focuses heavily on social-emotional skills, fine and gross motor development, creativity, and real-life problem-solving skills. Hands-On Activities: Every lesson includes fun, hands-on activities designed to engage children and reinforce the learning objectives. From arts and crafts to interactive games and movement activities, children will be actively involved in the learning process. Teacher-Friendly Format: The curriculum is easy to implement for educators and parents alike, with flexible lesson plans that can be adapted to different learning environments. It includes detailed weekly objectives, materials lists, and step-by-step instructions. Parent Connection: Kinder-Ready also includes tips for parents to reinforce learning at home, making it a great resource for childcare providers and parents to collaborate in the child’s education. With the Kinder-Ready Curriculum, you’re not just preparing children for kindergarten; you’re setting the stage for their lifelong learning success. This curriculum goes beyond numbers and letters—it's about building self-confidence, curiosity, and the foundational skills they need to thrive.
