Teacher Guide: Unapologetic (Mie Readers)

Welcome to Unapologetic — Explorers Where we redefine standards What if the heroes you’ve heard about were only part of the story? What if greatness didn’t look just one way… but came in every shade, voice, mind, and imagination? Welcome to Unapologetic — Redefine Standards— a world where melanated leaders from across history and across the globe step back into the spotlight, and children everywhere discover something powerful: Greatness looks different. In Unapologetic, we travel through time and across continents to meet kings, queens, scientists, warriors, inventors, thinkers, artists, and visionaries whose brilliance shaped the world—even when the world tried to forget them. But this journey isn’t just about the past. It’s about you. Here, children learn that their skin, their ideas, their culture, their talents—and even the things that make them “different”—are not accidents. They are superpowers. There is no single way to be smart. No single way to be strong. No single way to be great. In Unapologetic, curiosity leads the way, confidence grows louder, and every child is reminded: You belong in the story. You are already enough. And the world needs your kind of greatness. So grab your unapologetic mindset. Open your imagination. And get ready—because the future is brighter when we redefine the standard together.
