Product Description Subtropical and tropical aquarium fish require water temperatures that are often higher than room temperature. Aquarium heaters can be used to automatically achieve the desired water temperature. If it gets too warm, the heater switches off and only starts again when the water temperature drops below the set value. There are two heaters to choose from: rod heaters, which are operated underwater in the aquarium (JBL PROTEMP S model series from 10-400 l), and this external heater (JBL PROTEMP EXTERNAL), which is integrated outside the aquarium in the water return hose of the external filter. The external heater cannot be used with internal filters. The external heater has a total length of 35 cm including hose connections, with additional 2 x 2 cm for the hoses, which must not be kinked. Built-in safety: If you forget to unplug the external heater during filter cleaning, the dry-running protection automatically switches off the heater. Even in the unlikely event of a technical defect, the heater switches off automatically if it overheats. Convenient: Instead of the hose connections supplied, JBL double stopcocks with quick-release couplings can also be fitted. This allows the external heater to be removed from the hose for cleaning without the water flowing. Directions Digital display with bright LEDs shows current and target temperature side by side.
