The Orientalist Origins Vodka Triple-Blended Pan-Asian Vodka with Taiwanese longan honey, Tibetan barley & 9 potato varieties, proofed with Sakurajima water, 70cl 40% ABV – Martini, sipping & gifting

The Orientalist Origins Vodka is a premium, pan-Asian vodka made by The Orientalist Spirits and bottled at 40% ABV in a generous 70cl format. It’s built around a ‘triple-blended’ approach, marrying three vodka styles into one refined pour. Origins is blended with longan honey from Taiwan, barley extracted from the Tibetan highlands, and a vodka made from nine different potato varieties. The final spirit is proofed with ultra-soft water from Japan’s Sakurajima Peninsula in Kagoshima Prefecture, supporting its clean, smooth profile. In the glass it’s clear, polished and quietly expressive. Expect a mouth-watering creamy feel with succulent aromatic sweetness, followed by subtle earthy, herbaceous depth. Behind the bottle is a travel-led concept. The Orientalist Spirits describes the range as inspired by a journey through the Silk Road, beginning in Shangri-La (3,300m above sea level). Origins Vodka reflects that pan-Asian idea by bringing together ingredients sourced across Taiwan, Tibet and Japan. How to enjoy: the brand recommends serving it either on the rocks or as a bone-dry Martini (sans vermouth). Chill it well to let the texture shine, then keep the serve simple and spirit-forward. Quality is widely recognised on the competition circuit. Origins Vodka won Gold at the 2020 SIP Awards and a Silver medal (86 points) at the London Spirits Competition 2020. It’s also listed as a Silver winner at IWSC 2020, and it was named the Winner in ‘Vodka Fusion’ at the People’s Choice Drinks Awards 2023. For gifting, this is an elegant, conversation-starting vodka for drinkers who enjoy classic clarity with an Asian twist—presented in a premium 70cl bottle and ideal for the modern home bar.
