The Nebbiolo variety is unquestionably associated with the sumptuous Barolo, known as the Italian “King of Wines” for its splendour and importance. Batasiolo is known for the skillfulness and tradition with which it has interpreted the production of this noble and elegant wine, rich in aromas and flavours, over the years. This Barolo DOCG pairs well with red meats, game, roasts and mature cheeses. According to Batasiolo, this Barolo has the credentials to be the great wine for special occasions and also the perfect accompaniment for excellent food and entertaining. Made by blending Nebbiolo grapes from the estate vineyards in the communes of La Morra, Serralunga, Monforte and Barolo, this still red wine is immediately enjoyable and capable of instructing even the least expert palates with clarity and simplicity. Barolo DOCG is a wine with an intense garnet red colour. Aromas and flavours: The bouquet has all the typical aromas of the Nebbiolo grape after refining is flowery and toasty with hints of sweet spices, nuts and typically delicate herbaceous aromas. Taste profile: In the mouth, the perfect balance of tannins, crispness and alcohol content offer bold yet elegant and pleasing sensations. Excellent intensity and persistence confirm this wine as one of the best expressions of the Langa. Alcohol content: 14.5% vol. It is recommended to store the bottle lying down in a cool place, away from light and heat. Serve at a temperature of 1820 °C to enjoy it at its best. Batasiolo wines are the result of dedication, rigour, planning and human value. They are wines with a bold personality, full of territorial content capable of excellently expressing the synapses of the Langhe, a UNESCO heritage site in Piedmont, from where they emanate. Grape processing that enhances the qualities of the terroir and a clever modern approach to tradition in the cellar are the foundations on which we build our solid and attractive production. The history of Batasiolo is the history of the Dogliani family that has been leading the entire supply chain, from the vineyard to the bottle, for fifty years. Our history made of tradition and foresight has contributed to making the Langhe area and Piedmontese wines famous worldwide.

Distinctive Features: Barolo that is good to drink, formal and distinguished but still convivial, intense and ready from the start. Ideal for Sunday family meals, it is the perfect wine to choose when you are seeking results regardless of the cost.

Vinification: After careful selection from the vineyards in the production region, the grapes are destemmed, macerated and left to ferment on the skins for at least 10-12 days in steel tanks, at a controlled temperature, with regular pumping over. It is aged in French oak casks followed by ageing in stainless steel vats. Refining continues in the bottle after this time.

Grape Type: Rightly dubbed the Italian "King of Wines", Barolo is made from Nebbiolo grapes only grown in the Barolo production area. Thin skin, long vegetative cycle, light colour and noble astringency are the predominant varietal characteristics in Piedmont.
