Description

The most advanced ice axe for snow and glaciers and ski mountaineering available on the market. Constructed of 7075-T6 aluminum alloy like the ultra-lightweight Corsa, it differs from the latter by Sandvik Nanoflex® steel alloy inserts on the head and toecap: critical points that are thus much more durable and long lasting without sacrificing lightness. The curvature of the handle optimises the strike without reducing the functionality of the foot and penetration into the snow. The grip at the bottom of the handle ensures a good grip. The slot in the back of the head allows the Dragonne Corsa to be attached (available separately). Not suitable for vertical ice climbing, demanding mixed terrain and intensive grading. Sandvik Nanoflex® is an innovative steel alloy with high mechanical strength and a hardness higher than normal alloy steels. It allows you to reduce the amount of metal to be used, greatly reducing the weight while maintaining its strength.
