This heartfelt journal of the eldest daughter shares how she mentally and emotionally processed the events of the past in order to handle the pain of the present. As a sister, she was convinced that her brother’s wife had murdered him and tried to prove it. They tried to break down her family devotion but she eventually learned to stop crying and let go of the heartache inflicted by her own family who were only after the inheritance. Tirelessly she labored to alleviate the anxiety, sadness, and depression that engulfed her soul to the core. Nothing seemed to rebuild the desire to carry on with daily life. Her toxic family was almost unbearable at times. Gradually, the family secrets came to light that were in play for the past 50 years. The discovery of countless lies and unbelievable deceit created a new reality amidst her naivety. She and she alone continued to care for her elderly parents until their death despite the daily difficulties of their dementia and disease. As the circle of life engulfed her, she ultimately learned to re-invest in life, and once again feel, “the peace which passeth all understanding,” a feeling only angels know.
