Multi-protocol RS-232 serial device server The EX-6111-2 is a multi-protocol RS-232 serial device server designed to connect an RS-232 serial device, including checkout systems, barcode readers, sensors, measuring instruments, weighing systems, CNC controls, and APIs, to an IP-based Ethernet network. The serial device is connected via Ethernet and is available over the subnet and over the Internet for sharing. Remote configuration is performed via wide network protocols such as TCP server, TCP client, UDP, VCOM or Telnet serial/RFC2217. To ensure backward compatibility with legacy serial devices running existing COM-Port application software, the EX-6111-2 offers a virtual COM port (VCOM) that seamlessly migrates your serial application without modifying the software.
