Mia The Rock Star: Production Bible

Mía is a talented 25-year-old young woman with a dream of becoming a music star. However, her dreams have been cut short because she has to work alongside her mother in a taco shop to make ends meet, like thousands of Mexicans in Mexico City. One day, she receives a letter from her father, who lives in the United States—a man she does not remember, who abandoned her when she was two years old. After a heated conversation filled with claims and resentments, her mother convinces her that she must go in search of her father to confront the resentment she feels toward him and free herself from this grudge that prevents her from moving forward in life. With animosity as part of her baggage, she arrives in Miami to meet Joseph Abby, who lives in a house in South Florida and is gravely ill with terminal cancer. The major US record label, Red Music Record, has launched a call for garage bands, offering a cash prize and a lucrative contract. However, her dreams of becoming a music star are threatened by Makayla, the daughter of a powerful banker. An unrelenting and privileged competitor, Makayla is determined to dismantle Mía's dreams using her father's money and influence. In an effort to attract new talent, the renowned record label RED MUSIC RECORD launches a band competition, where Mía and Makayla become direct rivals. As Mía navigates the tumultuous and fierce environment of the music industry, she will fight not only to achieve her dream but also to understand and possibly forgive her father before it is too late. “Mía Rock Star” is an emotional story of redemption, ambition, and the complexity of family ties, taking the audience on a deep journey between the pain of the past and the search for a future filled with hope and music.
