Fish is a superfood and is one of the best sources of quality animal proteins; besides, being a rich source of polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFAs), especially the omega-3 PUFAs EPA and DHA, and micronutrients. Blue revolution has made aquaculture one of the fastest growing food production sectors. The, Blue food and Blue economy holds a great promise for the future by providing food and nutritional security to the ever-growing world population. India being the most populous country in the world, there is a need for scaling-up of the fish production for ensuring nutrition security. Entrepreneurship is the ability and readiness to develop, organize and run a business enterprise, with all its uncertainties, to make it a profitable venture and the most prominent example of entrepreneurship is the starting of new businesses. It could be of any type; small business entrepreneurship, scalable start-up entrepreneurship, large company entrepreneurship, and social entrepreneurship. Keeping in view, the much desired need for entrepreneurship in fisheries and aquaculture, this book Entrepreneurship Opportunities in Fisheries and Aquaculture in India has been designed.
