The Complete Disc Golf Basics Manual breaks down individual skills step-by-step with detailed instructions to perform basic techniques to play disc golf. Uplay, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, founded in 2017 by disc golf professional and gifted teacher, Zoē AnDyke. This book is the culmination of years of teaching and advocating for community participation in a fun and easy-to-learn group activity. Terms, concepts, skills, and drills are all introduced with the assumption of no prior disc golf knowledge. The format is presented to facilitate teaching large groups and classes but can also be used to develop personal practice for all ages and skill levels. Each chapter recommends the equipment needed and introduces the basic techniques necessary to safely learn how to play disc golf. Each chapter introduces a disc golf skill and contains the following: 1. A definition of the skill and its importance in the game of disc golf 2. A four-step (or fewer as needed) description of the skill 3. Photos showing the skill in action 4. Safety advice and tips for running drills 5.
