The single-coil pickups of the FENDER Pre-Wired Strat Pickguard '59 SSS are characterised by their ability to produce a full-bodied, warm sound with a characteristically sweet nuance that nostalgically ties to the golden times of the Fender Each of these Pure Vintage pickups are manufactured to strict specifications, ranging from traditional coil construction to true-to-original fabric wiring to reproduce the true, unadulterated Fender sound quality and performance. A special feature is the middle pickup, which is wound in opposite direction and equipped with reverse polarity. This detail ensures that the typical net hum in switch positions 2 and 4 is effectively suppressed while giving the sound in these settings the legendary croaking.
