Jake Bowen has a free approach to his music and the sounds he wants to create. His latest guitar designed by Ibanez represents a change from his older instrument with two humbuckers and titanium humbuckers to a double strat pickup at the neck and a humbucker on the bridge. The Mirage pickups are the next step on this journey. Jake loves DiMarzio's The Chopper™, but he needed an improvement: a pickup that would work the same way in the angled neck position of his new guitar. He wanted a super saturated single-coil sound that was a mix of The Cruiser™ and The Chopper™ models.
