The water column describes the pressure needed until water can penetrate through the fabric. In addition, the seams are fully welded so that rain doesn't stand a chance. Nevertheless, the jacket remains extremely breathable at 40,000 g/m²/24 hours: within 24 hours, 40 litres of water vapour per square metre can evaporate.
