Description

Backplane systems are used in servers and enable the simple installation or replacement of hard disks. Thanks to the plug-in technology of the hard disk drive racks, the hard disks are integrated into the system via plug connections and not, as is usually the case, via cable connections. This means that the hard disks can be replaced easily and without tools, without having to open the server housing. The hot-swap technology also enables the hard disks to be exchanged and replaced during operation. The FANTEC WR-NVMeU.2-C3141 is prepared for 4x 3.5"/2.5" PCIeNVMe/SSD/HDD U.2(32GB)/SAS/SATA hard disks.

U.2(32GB)/SAS/SATA backplane for 4x 3.5"/2.5" PCIeNVMe/SSD/HDD in one slide-in module. Form factor of the module: 3 x 5.25 inches.

(1.) Data connection to external: 2x SFF8654: SFF8654x8, PCIe3.0x8, 2xU.2 each, 7.9GByte/s. (2.) Data connection to external: 1 x SFF8643: 12G for SATA (6G) and SAS (12G).
