È stato pensato come esempio concreto e utile per docenti, direttori scolastici e musicisti. Propone la definizione di macro-processi, processi, e procedure definite e illustrate attraverso figure, tabelle, moduli, flowchart, questionari e checklist. Questo libro vuole essere un modello e una fonte di ispirazione per possibili cambiamenti e miglioramenti per tutte le scuole di musica pubbliche e private, scuole secondarie di primo e secondo grado, licei musicali, Conservatori e Accademie. È il risultato di uno studio riguardante la gestione organizzativa delle scuole di musica private e pubbliche, della loro didattica musicale e di un'analisi degli standard internazionali, delle Direttive, dei Regolamenti europei e delle normative nazionali dei Paesi dell'Est europeo (Ex-Jugoslavia - Ex-Unione Sovietica), quest’ultimi storicamente e attualmente all’avanguardia nell’insegnamento dell’arte di suonare uno strumento musicale. È emersa la necessità di offrire alle Direzioni delle Scuole di Musica e a tutte le parti interessate gli strumenti operativi necessari per attuare, con un metodo standardizzato, il cambiamento organizzativo per migliorare, in modo trasparente e possibile, tutte le attività e i servizi didattici musicali offerti per fornire al maggior numero di allievi una formazione artistica musicale di alto livello e riconosciuta a livello internazionale. Per la prima volta, il pubblico professionale ha l’opportunità di avere davanti a sé un metodo documentato che gli consente di comprendere, porre rapidamente le basi organizzative e realizzare una scuola di alta formazione artistica musicale, sia in termini di qualità organizzativa che didattica.
