It is regarded as the quintessential style of Irish whiskey and is made with a combination of malted and unmalted barley distilled only in copper pot stills and made in one single distillery. Green Spot is an example of a Single Pot Still Irish whisky comprised of Pot Still whiskeys aged between 7 and 10 years. The whiskey has matured in a combination of contemporary bourbon and refill bourbon casks as well as sherry casks. Redbreast 12 Year Old Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey with Gift Box, 70 cl Redbreast 12 Year Old is a single pot still, triple distilled Irish whiskey. From Midleton distillery in Ireland, it is made from a mash of malted and unmalted barley, then triple distilled in copper pot stills. The whiskey is finally matured in a combination of bourbon seasoned American oak barrels and Oloroso sherry seasoned Spanish oak butts, for a minimum of 12 years. This resulting whiskey is full flavoured and complex; silky smooth with a harmonious balance of spicy, fruity, sherry and toasted notes. Its delightful flavour is balanced with a long and creamy finish. This made it winner of the 2019 International Wine & Spirits Competition (IWSC) Gold Outstanding and Worldwide Whiskey Trophy awards.
