This latest installment of Serie Experimental is an ode to the three generations of Riascos banana growers who weathered the unforgiving whims of nature to bring forth the most nourishing of tropical fruits. All of this was, of course, before the family transitioned into the romantic adventure of making rum. La Hechicera Reserva Familiar Rum, 70cl with Gift Box 'Straight from Colombia's exhuberent Caribbean coast LA HECHICERA “the enchantress” is a fine blend of rums of 12-21 years of age. Produced in small batches and rested in American white oak, ex-bourbon barrels this outstanding rum gracefully captures the character, exuberance and diversity of Colombia. Matured in the hot and humid microclimate of Barranquilla RESERVA FAMILIAR is a complex, woody and dry rum that delivers characterful notes of toffee and orange peel on the nose and a bold burst of flavour on the palate with distinctive notes of tobacco and roasted coffee.
