DON'T BE A WIFE TO A BOYFRIEND: 10 Lessons i learnt when I was a single,

HEY! Can I be real with you? Before you go on this journey with me, please hear me when i say this! I can’t tell you whom to love. I can’t tell you who to be. I can’t tell you how long it’s going to hurt or how many tears me, please hear me when I say this. I can’t tell you if you’ll ever meet “the one.” I can’t tell you what the silver bullet is when it comes to love. I can’t tell you how or where to find true love. I can’t tell you how to feel or how long to feel it. you’ll shed. All I can tell you is I’ve been hurt before. All I can tell you is that you deserve nothing but the best. All I can tell you is what I went through. All I can tell you is that I was young and dumb and made overnight. All I can tell you is that, at one point, I did give up on love. All I can tell you is what worked for me. All I can tell you is that I’m in love, but it didn’t happen some mistakes. All I can tell you is that sometimes things don’t always go as planned. All I can tell you is that I learned a lot along the way about life and love. …It’s been almost eight years since I said, “I do,” and approximately ten years since I first met the love of my life. Just so you know, my so-called fairy-tale ending season didn't just happen. Before my married season, I had a single session It was during my single season that I learnt a lot about myself. People see my marriage and assume it was easy, but it wasn’t. Some people don’t know what I went through prior to getting married. They don’t understand my journey or don’t know how many mistakes I made along the way. They don't know the hurt and betrayal and how almost i gave up on love and dating altogether. There are times when, over the course of our single seasons, we find ourselves stuck or torn between our hearts and minds. I’ve cried some of the same tears. I’ve held onto certain people and waited around for too long. I’ve been cheated on. I’ve been lied to. I’ve experienced betrayal, and, at one point, I was done with love…but God! Yes, there were times when I was an emotional wreck, but it’s wonderful to know that one day I was able to look back on everything and declare, “I’m good,” well before my husband came along. Hence, it is my hope that the lessons I learned will encourage, inspire, and empower you, or someone else, to live with purpose and to live through the pain, while learning fromm experiences and embracing the life God has for you regardless of your relationship status.
