It is the band's first album with drummer Glenn Kotche, and last with multi-instrumentalist and songwriter Jay Bennett. This 8-CD Super Deluxe edition of Yankee Hotel Foxtrot features the original album freshly remastered by Bob Ludwig at Gateway Mastering, plus 3 CDs of YHF session outtakes and alternates; 1 CD of demos, drafts and instrumentals; 1 CD featuring WXRT radio interview and live performances from September 18, 2001; and a 2 CD live show from July 23, 2002 at The Pageant in St. Louis, MO. The extensive booklet includes an essay by music journalist Bob Mehr and a conversation with Jeff Tweedy, Glenn Kotche, Jim O'Rourke and producer Cheryl Pawelski, plus previously unseen live and studio photos.
