Description The Cristallo is our long sleeve, warm, moisture-wicking, and skin-friendly winter base layer for women. It wicks moisture away from the body and dries quickly. Moisture-wicking, heat-regulating, comfortable. This base layer owes its high wearing comfort mainly to the hybrid Alpine Merino Responsive fabric, which consists of 78% merino wool and 22% polyamide. The synthetic fibres are also enhanced with our patent-protected responsive technology. Responsive is based on a special blend of natural, thermoreactive minerals that recycle the far-infrared energy (FIR) of the body and gradually release it again. This ensures better performance and faster recovery and keeps you warm for longer. These benefits are maintained throughout the life of the fabric, as Responsive is an integral part of the fibre and does not wash out. Innovative knitting process The Cristallo has a body-hugging fit with a crew neck and a sleeve design with integrated gusset for greater freedom of movement. It is made using a special knitting process where a superfine, 19 micron merino wool yarn is spun around a nylon core. This process makes the bluesign® certified fiber not only firmer, fluffier and more voluminous, but also 30% lighter than a comparable base layer fiber. The high polyamide content also improves durability and mechanical stretching properties. Our innovative knitting process allows the production of a one-piece body element without annoying seams for maximum comfort. In addition, the merino fibres have a natural, odour-inhibiting effect.
