In the past, the Empire waged a merciless war against the Witch King, high priest of the Father of Monsters. The Empire won at the cost of its unity and ultimately its very existence. Imperial peace succeeded dark ages, fragmented domains, endless quarrels, evil cults, ruins and sorrow.

However, it is an imperial tradition that has not disappeared.
