Special glass elements, LD (Low Dispersion) and GM (Glass Molded Aspherical) lens elements are used to minimalize optical aberrations. A beautiful bokeh is offered at a wide-open aperture. The AF-drive is equipped with Tamron;s VXD-technology (Voice-coil eXtreme-torque Drive), that provides quick and accurate autofocus. The lens has a Moisture-Resistant construction and Fluorine-coating for extra protection. Achieves an MOD of 0.18m (7.1 in) and maximum magnification ratio of 1:2.7.
