This book complements Les Grau's previous book, "The Bear Went Over the Mountain." the other side of the mountain is a compilation of Mujahideen combat actions against Soviet forces during the Soviet-Afghan War. The 92 vignettes with maps include operational graphics in full color are arranged chronologically and assembled topically, based on type of action, into 14 chapters. The cost of the other side of the mountain is due to the fact that it simply costs more to print a 430 page book in color.
