This is the Castelli bike commuter jacket made to provide maximum functionality on the saddle and to make you look good when you get to work. We wanted a jacket that would offer maximum visibility when you come home from work in the dark but would not make you look ridiculous with a thousand reflective stripes when you arrive at the office. We have applied an almost invisible reflective print on the entire surface of the jacket that you hardly see while cycling during the day or when you wear the jacket to work but at night it becomes reflective to make you clearly visible. But we didn't stop at refracting. The 20,000 mm water column means that rain will never pass through the fabric, ever. And the breathability of 20,000 MVTR ensures that a good amount of sweat escapes. But it's the ventilation details that make this jacket stand out: there is an elastic band at the waist that you can close to seal out the wind or leave open to allow some air to enter from underneath to keep you cooler. This integrated inner band allows us to create a jacket that hangs on the bottom - a much more essential and refined look than that of a jacket with the pleats created with an internal elastic.
