Description

Born in the heart of New Orleans, Seven Three Distilling produce small batch craft spirits with a sense of place. Their American Distillery draws its name and inspiration from the seventy three unique neighbourhoods that make up their home city and celebrate their diversity. Bernard de Marigny wasn't a moonshiner, but this Creole real estate developer and "occasional" gambler had no fear of going against the grain. And in 1805, he subdivided his plantation to create the Faubourg Marigny, the first suburb downriver from the original New Orleans city limits that is now a fun, funky gumbo of old and new. In his honor Seven Three Distilling are proud to craft a spirit that celebrates the Marigny's vibrant city blocks. Pour their American Marigny Moonshine to discover a smooth Louisiana rice whiskey that settles in at 50%, a highly refined (and completely legal) version of the stuff a nervous mountain man might sell you in a jar. Made from 100% Louisiana Jazz Man Rice developed by LSU, grown at James farm at the local district of Prairie Ronds by two sisters who have been farming crawfish since 1982.

Dried sweetgrass and hay on the nose. Honey, steamed rice, and condensed milk on the palate. A sweet, grassy finish.

As an unaged rice whiskey, try Marigny Moonshine in a sour or pair it with fruity and earthy flavors.

You can expand its possibili-ties by treating it like an agricole or a blanco tequila in traditional drinks like margaritas or caipirinhas.
