PolarPro BaseCamp Mist VND 6-9 stops filter The Mist VND 6-9 stops filter is designed to be used with the PolarPro BaseCamp filter holder. The filter holder has a slot to place the Mist filter in. The filter has a small piece of extra aluminum at the top to hold the filter, this prevents fingerprints on the filter. The complete securing of the filter is done by means of a rotary knob on the side of the filter holder. By adjusting the CPOL filter - which is included with the standard BaseCamp filter holder - you can change between 6 and 9 stops. Full control of light conditions A variable ND filter allows you to fully control your shutter speed in all lighting conditions. It also allows you to maintain a smooth frame rate in slow motion, for example when shooting video. The four possible settings correct the light by 6 to 9 stops. This is equivalent to a ND64 to ND512 grey filter. This VND filter is ideal for filming in bright conditions with large apertures. The 'Mist' part of the filter adds a dreamy and smooth look to the footage. It also gives a polished look to subjects without sacrificing contrast and colour accuracy.
