The card comes in an "OEM" version, i.e. in a neutral box and with drivers that can be downloaded from the LSI website (www.broadcom.com). It can be used to add 16 internal SAS ports to a PC or server via an 8x (or 16x) PCIe 3.1 (or higher) connector.
