Resin sculptures are the result of a research to create objects that can decorate with taste, colour and fantasy contemporary and trendy environments. Most of these are made of resin, material now popular for the production of furniture products. The process of making a resin sculpture is entirely handmade. The ideas of our designers are put on paper through sketches, following which skilled sculptors hand shape a clay model also called the "soul" which serves for the construction of rubber moulds. The resin is added to a hardening liquid and manually poured into the molds. Once the resin is hardened, the moulds are opened by extracting the raw sculptures which must be cleaned by burr or processing residue, repaired, sanded and washed manually. When the surface of the piece is perfect, a dense paint is applied by spray called "primer" which is the basis for the final decoration, which will be different depending on whether you want to achieve a matte, gloss, metallic or other effect. If the sculpture cannot stand on its own, it is mounted on a marble stand which makes it stable. So you can now understand how much manual work is to create these works before you are ready to decorate your home, and how different their craftsmanship value is compared to plastic items made in large series with automatic machines. This item is delivered in an appropriate packaging and will include a certificate of craftsmanship.
