PolarPro Summit Essential Landscape Kit The Summit Essential kit is a beautifully finished filter holder with filters. The kit contains a filter holder with lens hood, an EVA Case, 77mm and 82mm Thread Plate, ND4-GR filter, ND64 filter and a CPOL filter. It is specially designed for filming or photographing landscapes but can also be used in other situations. The filter holder with lens hood First you mount the Thread Plate on your camera. Then you place the filter holder according to the PolarPro SnapOn principle on the plate, so you do not need any other tools. To keep the whole system as light as possible, all elements and accessories are made of lightweight aluminium. On the filter holder is a lens hood made of sturdy but flexible rubber. The hood prevents incoming light and lens flare. This allows you to preserve more detail in your images. The lens hood also provides additional protection for a fixed filter during use and transportation. It is not necessary to use the filter holder and can be removed if required. The ND and ND-GR filters On the supplied ND and ND-GR filters there is a small piece of extra aluminium at the top to hold the filter, this prevents fingerprints on the filter. There are two insertion slides for placing filters, so that you can combine filters with each other. The sled for the first filter is closed at the bottom and suitable for a square ND filter. The second sled is open at the bottom so that you can position the rectangular ND gradient filter. The slit is quite slippery to prevent your filter from falling to the ground if you let it go without securing it. The second filter is completely fixed by means of the two dials on the side of the filter holder. The Thread Plate A Thread Plate allows you to rotate the entire filter holder 360 degrees without having to remove it from your camera. On top of the filter holder there is a dial to completely secure the Thread Plate. This kit comes with two Thread Plates, one of 77mm and one of 82mm. PolarPro also has separate Thread Plates with dimensions of 67mm, 72mm and 95mm. CPOL filter In the filter holder there is a circular polarization filter notch where you can easily put the CPOL filter in. The filter is fixed with a slide and on the side of the filter holder there is a dial to adjust the polarization effect. This system is light-tight so that false light does not stand a chance. EVA case for safe transport With the filter holder comes a sturdy EVA case for transporting the filter holder. The case with handle has large zip pullers that can be operated even with gloves on. The filter holder with CPOL and grey filters fits entirely in the case. You also get a cloth to easily wipe away any fingerprints.
