The distillery takes its name from the nearby town of Ballynahinch, whose name in Irish translates as 'town of the island'. Within the Hinch Distillery design we have incorporated many unique elements which will both validate our 'craft' credentials and also position ourselves as key innovators within the Irish whiskey category. Hinch 5 Year Double Wood is a premium whiskey expression which combines the tradition of Irish whiskey matured in Bourbon casks with the innovation of additional maturation in Virgin Oak. The flavours are pronounced and intense yet retain great silkiness on the palate. Bottled at 43 percent to maximise flavour

The Hinch 5 Year Old is a premium Blend of 25 percent Single Malt and 75 percent Single Grain with the contemporary twist of Virgin oak cask aging

Matured for a minimum of 4 years in the finest ‘first fill’ Bourbon Casks followed by a further 1 year in Virgin Oak casks

Hinch 5 Year Old is golden brown in appearance with distinct & intense citrus fruit on the nose

Big spice and Mocha notes on the palate are matched with a balanced fruit undercurrent

Best served on the rocks or as the base for a classic Old Fashioned cocktail
