Vater Percussion is an American manufacturing company founded in 1950's based in Massachusetts and is one of top 5 American drum stick manufacturers. The company has always focused on percussion instruments, producing drum sticks, brushes and mallets. It was founded by Jack Adams, and today run by his two grandsons Ron and Alan Vater. As an American company manufacturing in the US, Vater has a deep understanding of the Orchestral world. Consequently their range of Timpani, Bass Drum and Gong mallets comprises of all the sticks you could wish for. Vater's Timpani Mallet line features seven distinct traditional models in straight and tapered Sugar Maple shafts, as well as 3 Mallet/Stick Hybrid mallet models. These mallets produce a variety of tonal colors necessary for expressive performance on timpani, drumset or cymbals.

Key Features

Features a unique reverse tapered shaft that allows for easier control in the grip area while creating more weight towards the mallet head.

The medium large puff fleece mallet head produces a warm, low, full sound with great articulation at all volumes.

Grip diameter measures .750” (1.9cm) and tapers to .900” (2.29cm) after the gripping area of the handle.
