The basic idea behind TOCA PERCUSSION is to bring people together as one big, colourful family and encourage them to make music together. The world-famous percussion brand was founded in the 1990s, at a time when new, exciting rhythms and sounds were flooding the international charts. Latin and Afro-Cuban grooves became an integral part of the mainstream, and an emerging euphoria around spontaneous group music-making spread. People came together, sometimes for social, health and spiritual reasons, but often simply for pure fun, to pursue their passion for drumming together in drum circles and drum workshops.
