Product Description Glass break detection with the GlassProtect AJAX detector The detection of glass breakage is carried out by adding the first low-frequency noise (person knocking against the window) and that of the high-frequency crash (the glass breaks). If GlassProtect detects only one of the two noises, the alarm will not trigger. In order for GlassProtect AJAX to detect the noise of glass breakage, the glass must not be covered with an anti-shock film, sunscreen or other protective film. If your window is covered with a film, we recommend opting for a DoorProtect Plus AJAX opening detector that has tilt and shock sensors. If GlassProtect detects broken glass, it immediately sends a signal to the AJAX HUB which will alert users entered in the security system and trigger sirens (if they are activated). The communication distance with the AJAX hub can be up to 1300 m in open fields. AJAX GlassProtect Glass Break Detector Installation The use of this glass break detector is indoor. It should be avoided to position it next to a speaker, next to metal objects or mirror that attenuate the radio signal. The maximum detection distance is 9m. The GlassProtect microphone should not be positioned more than 90 degrees from the window. It is not necessary for curtains, plants or other objects to cover the microphone entrance.
