ACTISORB® Silver 220 dressing is a silver antimicrobial, activated charcoal dressing, designed to protect the wound from infection whilst trapping wound malodour. ACTISORB® Silver 220 dressing combines a unique triple action which makes it very different to regular antimicrobial silver dressings: • Activated charcoal traps bacteria in the dressing • Silver kills bacteria • Activated charcoal absorbs odour particles/bacterial toxins When applied to a wound the dressing adsorbs toxins and wound degradation products as well as volatile amines and fatty acids responsible for the production of wound odour.
