Product Description Barrettine’s wood protector is a wood Sealer For rough, sawn or smooth timber. It contains water repellent resins And a Biocide film wood Preserver to prevent the surface growth of mould/algae and together This helps reduce decay, swelling, twisting of wood. Pigments have good UV fade resistance and Will help protect wood from UV damage. Barrettine’s wood protector is an ideal treatment for outdoor treated timber structures such as sheds, fences, trellis, pergola and timber gazeboes. As a wood Sealer it provides good water repellence/beading. Oil/spirit based for deeper penetration leaving a transparent/translucent finish colour effect to wood, where the grain texture is still visible. (Not ideal for decking or garden furniture structures as rub resistance may not be sufficient). Directions Ensure the wood is dry,Free from dirt and repellent coatings.Remove and sand down as required.Recommend using a biocidal wash prior to treatment.Apply with a brush,Dip,Roller,Or spray in suitable conditions.If spraying,Use an airless sprayer with a minimum 1mm flat fan tip nozzle.Clean equipment after application.Clean sprayer with white spirit and oil moving parts.Test color in an inconspicuous area.Drying times: 12 hours under normal conditions.

UV & FADE RESISTANT: The pigments of the coloured wood sealant have good UV fade resistance and help give long-life protection from UV damage. Suitable for most exterior timbers such as a garden shed, garden fence, trellis, pergola, timber gazeboes and more. (No pigments in Clear option)

DEEP PENETRATING OIL: The outdoor wood protector is oil based for deeper penetration, leaving a transparent/translucent finish colour effect to wood, where the grain texture is still visible.

WATER REPELLENT: As a wood sealer, it provides excellent water repellence, as it contains water-repellent resins that help reduce decay, swelling, and twisting of wood. This wood protector provides unrivalled wood treatment.
