This specialty snare features a 10-ply European Maple shell that produces mid-range pitch with full attack and warm tone, while the wax sealant shows off the understated beauty of the Maple grain. Like all Concept Series snare drums, all the Black Wax Snares are outfitted with PDP’s dual-turret lugs and DW’s MAG throw-off and True Pitch tension rods for precise, stable tuning.
