DMT Diafold® Machinist Diamond Whetstone™ Hardcoat™ is a diamond-coated hand-held sharpening stone with a folding handle that fits comfortably into your pocket. The interrupted surface ensures fast, clean and even sharpening. Thanks to the additional continuous diamond surface of the Machinist series, even small and pointed tools can be sharpened perfectly. Anyone looking for a reliable, durable sharpening stone that brings knives and tools into top form will find the right solution in the diamond-coated Diamond Whetstone™ stones from world market leader DMT. The popular Diafold® pocket sharpening stone, with a compact folded size of just 12 cm, is now also available with the particularly durable Hardcoat™ surface, developed specially for sharpening carbide and ceramic blades. The Diafold® pocket sharpening stone contains an original DMT Machinist Diamond Whetstone™ 4" (10 cm) with two grits for different applications: Hardcoat™ fine (25 micron, 600 mesh, red), which sharpens slightly dull knives and tools and is often used as an all-purpose sharpener, and Hardcoat™ extra-fine (9 micron, 1200 mesh), which refines the edge to a polished, razor-sharp finish. All DMT® diamond sharpeners are excellent for sharpening ceramic blades and hardened steels. The new Hardcoat™ (HC™) surface, however, sets new standards: it is DMT®'s hardest and most durable diamond coating to date and was developed specially for the high demands of sharpening ceramic blades. Diamond abrasives are considered the fastest and most efficient method for sharpening knives and tools of any hardness, even where conventional sharpening stones reach their limits. Diamond sharpening stones are extremely durable and low-maintenance; no water or oil is required for sharpening. DMT's diamond-coated sharpening stones are valued by craftsmen, chefs and experts all over the world and have earned a reputation as among the best abrasives in the world. Anyone who wants to discover the ease of sharpening with diamonds invests, with this sharpening stone made in the USA, in a tool for life.
