The Penderyn Sherrywood in this bottle has been aged in ex-bourbon barrels and ex-Oloroso sherry casks to bring out its rich fruity flavour. This Single Malt Whisky starts strong with aromas of dark fruit and rich toffee, paired with a hint of green apples and hazelnut to create a complex and mysterious profile. There is a fine balance of winter spice over Sherry and Oakwood, meanwhile a body of sweetness gives way to a refreshing dryness, ending on a long finish as toffee and sultana notes persist.
