Product Description Monix Optima Stainless Steel Large Saucepan has triple heat conductive base which guarantees effective heat distribution. It includes top tempered glass lid with stainless steel knob. Grips and handles made of stainless steel with a polished bright finish. Suitable for oven. Base thickness: 5.3 mm. Exterior gloss finish and Interior matte finish. Use: keep children away while using any cookware utensil. The surface of the utensil will be hot, always use the handles when handling it. It is advised to use a low or medium heat and avoid flames licking around the sides of the utensil. Too high heat could damage and/or discolour the stainless steel utensil. Utensils manufactured entirely in stainless steel are suitable for household ovens. Stainless steel products that incorporate parts affixed in other materials (e.g. bakelite, glass) are suitable for oven use up to a maximum of 200 degree Celsius. Cleaning and maintenance: In most cases we only need to use a gentle detergent or soap (there are now many available that are also environmentally friendly) to clean utensils by hand or in the dish washer. Lime marks can be avoided by drying cookware with a dry cloth instead of leaving it to dry. This way we also avoid the marks left by the chlorine and other substances the water contains. If we have a particularly stubborn mark we can rub it with a cloth soaked in hot vinegar. We then wash it as normal and dry it with a drying-up cloth. If a utensil has lost its shine we can rub it with a cloth soaked in alcohol. Instructions: We need to avoid leaving cooked foods in the pot, saucepan or frying pan, as they tend to get stuck to them. We will then have to work harder rubbing them and will need more chemical products (detergent) and risk scratching and damaging our cookware. When adding salt to water to be boiled, do it when the water is already very hot so that it dissolves better and doesn’t leave any remnants.
