EX40 machine taps are manufactured to produce British Standard Pipe – G series threads and come in sizes ranging from one eighth of an inch to one and a half inches. They have a bright finish which prevents workpiece material from sticking to the cutting edge of the tool and means you get a clean, accurate finish on the threads. EX40 taps are suitable for threading many different materials including stainless steels, steels and aluminium. The tools conform to the German Institute for Standardization and are made from powder metal High Speed cobalt so you will get great performance and extended tool life.
