A rum created for pure sipping pleasure. 1888 takes it's name from the year that Brugal was founded in the Dominican Republic by Don Andres Brugal Montaner. 1888 leads the way in double aging, it is a full-bodied experience that rests first for up to eight years in hand-picked, ex-bourbon American oak casks, followed by a second maturation of up to six years in European oak first-fill sherry casks. A deep amber colour is the result of this maturation. This is a complex yet balanced rum with remarkable taste and a long smooth finish that evolves in the glass. Made to sip.
